KillersForLunch, known to intimates as blindgirl, is the artist responsible for every authenticated depiction of You and the central figure of this encyclopedia. The documented practice spans drawing, costume performance, vocal manifestation, and being photographed while armed. Works are executed in marker on whatever virtual surface is available at the time of composition, and are documented by exhibition photograph before the venue resets, the network fails, or another visitor draws over them. All three endings are attested.

Method

The artist works quickly and from life, insofar as You can be said to be alive. A typical drawn work consists of a single continuous outline, a face, whiskers, legs, and the label. Stroke color varies by session and is believed to be chosen from what the venue provides rather than by program. No preparatory sketches by the artist have been recovered.

The signature element of the practice is the label. The artist writes "you", draws an arrow, and departs. In one documented case the word written was "MYeW" (see Myew), which remains the only known deviation and is the subject of ongoing correspondence.

Periods

The documentary record opens in April 2026, before any work survives, with field photographs of the artist's formation: calisthenics in questionable company (The Stretching Session), the first bear (The Bear Head), the twin (The Twin), observation practice (Under the Table), and one lapse of taste the record refuses to suppress (The Revolting Form).

The works begin in May with a malfunction: a self-portrait that a network desynchronization caused to capture the artist's shirt instead of the face, which the artist then wore as a head anyway (Self-Portrait (desynchronized)). The costume study Dedede (performance) follows two days later. After a five-week silence come the June works: the vocal manifestation Morgan Freeman (apparition), the medical document Five Hundred Cigarettes, the Holloway collaboration The Leviathan of Blue Team, and the armed portrait (Portrait of the Artist, Armed).

The drawn You corpus proper begins 4 July and comprises the Wall Period (You, Indicated), the Shelf Period (Myew), the Pastoral Period (You at the Harvest), the Domestic Period (You by Candlelight, Still Life with You), and the Maritime Period (You at the Seaside). Critics note that the artist arrived at the mature subject only after exhausting calisthenics, bears, royalty, celebrity, tobacco, and heavy weapons, and that most careers run the same course over decades rather than one spring.

Voice

The artist maintains a vocal impression of the actor Morgan Freeman described by all who have heard it as unreasonably accurate. On 22 June 2026 the impression is recorded as having taken physical form; see Morgan Freeman (apparition) for the catalogue's handling of that event.

Health

Following the events documented in Five Hundred Cigarettes, the artist is in recovery and convalescing from lung cancer. The prognosis is described by the artist's circle as excellent, on the grounds that nothing else in the catalogue has managed to stop them either.

Associates

  • Holloway, fellow artist and collaborator.
  • The curator of this encyclopedia, who photographs the works, maintains these records, and shares documented liability for the cigarettes.

Reception

The work circulates primarily through the photographs reproduced here. Institutional recognition has so far been limited to this encyclopedia. The artist has issued no statements, in any voice.
